Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor comedian, activist, and actress. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child actor shortly after immigrating to the United States. She is best known for her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and 2020 (since 2020 (from). She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had a regular role in the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot series called New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were at the age of two, came to America to escape antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to the family's financial troubles the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. She was kicked out of her sophomore year, and subsequently obtained the GED. After that she was able to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
